Hy-Vee, Inc., has recalled certain bags of Hy-Vee dog food due to elevated levels of aflatoxin contamination. The recalled products were distributed to Hy-Vee stores in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin between October 26, 2012 and January 11, 2013.

After many years as the Danskin Women’s Triathlon in Pleasant Prairie, WI, in 2013 the race gets a new named sponsor. The August 11th race will now be known as the Athleta Iron Girl Pleasant Prairie Women’s Triathlon. It joins the previously announced Athleta Iron Girl Lake Zurich (IL) Women’s Triathlon, being held on June 16.
The Iron Girl triathlon held in Pleasant Prairie will be familiar to any women who have done the Danskin or Trek Triathlons there previously. The race is based at the RecPlex and Prairie Springs Park. The 1/2 mile lake swim will be in spring-fed Lake Andrea, the 12 mile bike will use local roads, and the 3.1 mile run will be within the Park. The XXtra Mile, the event management company of the Danskin Triathlon Series, will be running the race.

Herbalife International of America has recalled some lots of their Instant Healthy Meal Nutritional Shake Mix packets. The label identifies the product as dairy-free, but testing showed some products contained a small amount of milk proteins.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk risk a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume products with milk proteins.

The Bimbo Bakeries companies have voluntary recalled a number of breads and buns due to possible flexible wire in the products. The possibility of wire was caused by a faulty screen at a third party flour mill.
This recall is for products that may be in consumers’ homes. No products currently on retail shelves are affected.
