March is National Nutrition Month, a nutrition and education campaign of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The 2016 theme is to “Savor the Flavor of Eating Right,” so take the opportunity to cut down on sugar, salt/sodium, and saturated fats, following the 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The new guidelines recommend limiting the amounts of added sugar, sodium, and saturated fats in your diet. During National Nutrition Month, try to cut back on foods and beverages that are high in these, and find creative and nutritious ways to add flavor to foods. http://ow.ly/Z73Xq
